Abeking & Rasmussen

Yard on the Weser near Bremen; racing yachts in the early 20th century, later large motor yachts.

Georg Abeking and Henry Rasmussen founded the yard at Lemwerder on the Weser near Bremen. It first built sailing boats and wooden racing yachts and became known for careful craftsmanship.

Later the yard built minesweepers, vessels for public authorities and large motor yachts for private clients. It is still family-owned and remains on the Weser.
