Bertone
Turin coachbuilder that designed some of the best-known post-war sports cars, such as the Lamborghini Miura and the Lancia Stratos.
Giovanni Bertone opened a workshop for carriages and bodies in Turin. Under his son Nuccio Bertone the firm became one of the great design houses of the car industry, where body designers such as Franco Scaglione, Giorgetto Giugiaro and Marcello Gandini worked.
Bertone often designed and built bodies for other marques, from the Alfa Romeo Giulietta Sprint to the Lamborghini Miura and Countach. The firm ran into financial difficulties and ceased production in the early 2010s.
