Brioni

Roman menswear tailor, known for hand-made suits and for having dressed James Bond.

The tailor Nazareno Fonticoli and the businessman Gaetano Savini founded Brioni in Rome, taking the name from the Brijuni islands in the Adriatic. They showed menswear on a catwalk early, at the beginning of the 1950s.

Brioni became known for a light, well-fitting Roman suit and has dressed film stars and heads of state. The workshop in Penne in Abruzzo has its own tailoring school. The brand is now part of Kering.
