Buccellati

Milan jeweller, known for hand-engraved textured gold surfaces that recall fabric and lace.

Mario Buccellati opened his shop in Milan and took up a tradition from the goldsmiths of the Renaissance. He engraved and textured the gold so that its surfaces took on patterns like tulle, linen or lace.

The poet Gabriele D'Annunzio was one of his loyal clients. The firm has been carried on by the family and has also made silver objects, such as bowls and cutlery with motifs from nature.

Hand-engraved, matt gold surfaces in several textures, often combining white and yellow gold.

The signature Buccellati or M. Buccellati and Italian marks.
