Ekelunds Linneväveri

Linen weavers in Horred in Halland, one of Sweden’s oldest textile companies, known for tablecloths and towels in linen and damask.

Ekelund's weaving mill in Horred dates its history to 1692, when weaving for household needs became a business. In the 19th century a proper mill was built, and the Ekelund family has owned it for generations.

The mill is known for linen and half-linen in damask and jacquard, with patterns from Swedish folk traditions and by contemporary designers. It is one of the few in Sweden still weaving on a larger scale.
