Lars Magnus Ericsson’s workshop in Stockholm that became a world-leading telephone maker; the Ericofon (1954) and mobile phones are well-known products.

Lars Magnus Ericsson opened a workshop for telegraph equipment in Stockholm and soon began making telephones. The skeleton telephone of the 1890s, with its visible metal parts, became one of the firm's well-known products.

The Ericofon of 1954, designed by Hugo Blomberg, Ralph Lysell and Gösta Thames, combined microphone, earpiece and dial in a single piece. Ericsson later became a world leader in telephone exchanges and mobile networks and made mobile phones until the 2010s.
