Esterbrook
American maker of steel nibs and fountain pens from Camden, New Jersey, known for nibs that could be swapped.
Richard Esterbrook came from Cornwall and began making steel pens in Camden, New Jersey. The firm became one of the largest makers of dip pens in the United States.
After the war the Esterbrook J fountain pen became common in schools and offices, because the nib could be changed to suit the handwriting. Production stopped in the early 1970s, and the brand has since been revived.
Numbered nibs that unscrew and can be swapped.
Marbled plastic in green, blue, red or grey.
