Gaggenau

German maker of kitchen appliances that dates its origins to a forge in the Black Forest and is known for stainless-steel ovens.

Gaggenau dates its beginnings to a hammer mill founded by the Margrave of Baden in the Black Forest in 1683. In the 19th century the works made farm implements, bicycles and enamelled stoves.

After the Second World War Gaggenau specialised in built-in kitchen appliances for the home, with ovens and hobs in stainless steel and aluminium. The company has been part of the Bosch-Siemens group since 1995.
