Girard-Perregaux
Swiss watchmaker in La Chaux-de-Fonds, known for the tourbillon with three bridges and the Laureato sports watch.
Girard-Perregaux dates its beginnings to the watchmaker Jean-François Bautte in Geneva and took its name when Constant Girard married Marie Perregaux in 1854. The firm became known for precision watches and won prizes for its chronometers.
The tourbillon under three gold bridges was shown at the Paris Exposition of 1889. The Laureato of 1975, a steel sports watch with an octagonal bezel, became one of the brand's best-known models.
Three parallel gold bridges over the movement, visible through the dial.
