Goyard

Trunk maker in Paris with a history going back to the 18th century; the hand-painted canvas with small chevrons.

François Goyard took over a trunk-making and packing workshop in Paris that had been founded by Pierre-François Martin. Under his son Edmé Goyard the firm acquired its iconic canvas in 1892.

The canvas is printed in several layers by hand, and the pattern forms small interlinked Ys. Goyard still makes trunks and bags to order and has few shops.
