H. Moser & Cie
Swiss watchmaker with roots in St Petersburg, known for fumé dials without a logo.
Heinrich Moser was the son of a watchmaker in Schaffhausen and founded a watch-trading house in St Petersburg. He had the watches made in Switzerland and sold them in Russia, and he also built industry and hydropower in Schaffhausen.
After the Russian revolution the firm lost its market and was absorbed into a Swiss group. The brand was revived in 2005 and is known for graduated-colour dials and for having removed its logo from the dial.
Fumé dials, in which the colour darkens towards the edge.
In-house movements and interchangeable hairspring modules.
