Head
Howard Head’s company; metal skis and later tennis rackets.
Howard Head was an aircraft engineer who built a ski of aluminium and wood in layers that was lighter and turned better than solid wooden skis. The Head Standard came out in the early 1950s.
Head later made tennis rackets and other sports equipment. The brand now has its headquarters in Austria.
