Paul W. Klipsch was an engineer who built his first loudspeakers in a tin shed in Hope, Arkansas. He developed horn loudspeakers that gave a lot of sound from little power.

The Klipschorn of 1946 was placed in a corner of the room, which became part of the horn. The model is still made.
