Le Klint

Danish maker of hand-pleated lampshades in paper and plastic, a tradition from the Klint family. The models are numbered and the pleats are made by hand.

The architect Peder Vilhelm Jensen-Klint folded a paper shade for a paraffin lamp at home, and the family went on folding shades. The company was founded to make them on a larger scale.

Kaare Klint and later Tage Klint and other members of the family designed many of the models. The shades are still folded by hand in Odense.

A label or print with the name inside the shade or on the suspension.
