Mauviel
French maker of copper pans in Villedieu-les-Poêles in Normandy, the town of coppersmiths.
Ernest Mauviel started his workshop in Villedieu-les-Poêles, a town in Normandy where coppersmiths had worked since the Middle Ages. The pans were made for restaurants and homes.
Mauviel is still a family firm and makes copper, stainless steel and cast-iron cookware for professional kitchens and homes. Its copper pans with cast-iron handles have become a symbol of French cooking.
An embossed stamp with Mauviel and Made in France under the pan.
