Montblanc

Founded in Hamburg; the white star came in 1913 and the name Meisterstück in 1924. The model 149 (1952) is the flagship.

Montblanc was founded in Hamburg by two businessmen and an engineer and was first called the Simplo Filler Pen Company. The first pen, the Rouge et Noir, came in 1910, and the name Montblanc was taken from Europe's highest mountain.

The Meisterstück of 1924 and the model 149 of 1952 became symbols of the distinguished fountain pen. Montblanc later also made watches and leather goods and is part of Richemont.

A white six-pointed star on the cap and 4810 on the gold nib; serial number on the clip of newer pens.
