NK
Nordiska Kompaniet in Stockholm, a department store with its own workshops and a design department that furnished whole homes and public spaces.
Nordiska Kompaniet was formed by Josef Sachs and others and opened the great department store on Hamngatan in Stockholm in 1915. The store had its own workshops for furniture, textiles and interiors.
NK's interiors department designed whole homes and public interiors, and NK's Textilkammare under Astrid Sampe was important for Swedish textiles. The store is still on Hamngatan.
