Nomos Glashütte

Watch brand in Glashütte in Saxony, founded after the fall of the Wall and known for austere design in the spirit of the Bauhaus.

Roland Schwertner founded Nomos in Glashütte in 1990, shortly after German reunification. The brand took up the Saxon tradition but with a simpler, modernist design.

The Tangente of 1992 with its thin numerals and slender hands became the brand's best-known model. Nomos makes its own movements and has become one of the largest German watchmakers in Glashütte.
