Odiot

Paris silver firm that dates its beginnings to 1690, known for Jean-Baptiste-Claude Odiot's Empire silver for Napoleon.

The Odiot family were silversmiths in Paris from the end of the 17th century. Under Napoleon, Jean-Baptiste-Claude Odiot became one of the most eminent silversmiths and made the cradle of the King of Rome.

The firm made large services for the emperor and for the aristocracy of Russia and Europe, and continued through the 19th and 20th centuries. It now has a new owner but uses the old models.
