Riihimäen Lasi

Finnish glassworks known for mould-blown, brightly coloured glass in the 1960s and 70s by Tamara Aladin and Nanny Still, among others.

Riihimäen Lasi was founded in Riihimäki and became one of Finland's large glassworks, with bottles, window glass and everyday glass. The works took on artists from the 1930s.

Nanny Still and Tamara Aladin made mould-blown vases in strong colours in the 1960s and 70s, and they became popular collectables. The works closed in 1990, and the glass museum in Riihimäki remains.

Paper labels with Riihimäki; mould-blown glass often has seams and no engraved signature.
