Rud. Rasmussen

Copenhagen joinery that made the furniture of Kaare Klint and Mogens Koch and is now part of Carl Hansen & Søn.

Rudolph Rasmussen opened his joinery in Nørrebro in Copenhagen, and it became known for furniture of high craftsmanship. From the 1920s it worked with the architect Kaare Klint, the founder of modern Danish furniture design.

Klint's Safari Chair and Deck Chair of 1933 and Mogens Koch's MK folding chair were made there. The joinery was bought in 2011 by Carl Hansen & Søn, which continues to make the models.
