10-gruppen

Ten Swedish textile designers, among them Tom Hedqvist, Inez Svensson and Birgitta Hahn, who printed and sold their own strong, graphic patterns.

Ten young textile designers started 10-gruppen in Stockholm to print and sell their own patterns, independent of industry. They made bold, graphic patterns in few colours.

The group opened a shop on Götgatan and became a symbol of Swedish design of the 1970s and 80s. Today it consists of three of the founders: Tom Hedqvist, Birgitta Hahn and Ingela Håkansson Lamm.

Printed 10-gruppen, the designer’s name and the pattern name in the selvedge.
