Jean Puiforcat

Silversmith

French Art Deco silversmith who based his forms on geometry, with handles of rare wood and crystal.

Jean Puiforcat trained in his father’s silver firm in Paris and exhibited his own work from 1923.

He built his vessels from cylinders, spheres and cones in mathematical proportions, and his silver is counted among the purest of Art Deco.
