German textile artist, head of the Bauhaus weaving workshop.
Gunta Stölzl was the only female master at the Bauhaus and ran the weaving workshop from 1926 to 1931.
She moved from unique weavings to prototypes for industry and later ran her own hand-weaving mill in Zurich.
