From I ♥ NY to the iPhone
Graphics, postmodern kettles, office chairs and computers designed for people.
Milton Glaser's I ♥ NY of 1977 became the world's most copied logo. Michael Graves made postmodern objects for Alessi and later for the store Target. Bill Stumpf and Don Chadwick's Aeron office chair of 1994 was based on ergonomic research.
Apple designed computers and phones meant to be easy to use: the Macintosh of 1984 with Susan Kare's icons, the iMac of 1998 and the iPhone of 2007. OXO's kitchen tools showed that inclusive design could be a success.
