Danish design today

Bang & Olufsen's electronics, reissues of classics and new companies such as Hay and Muuto.

Under Jacob Jensen, Bang & Olufsen became known for austere, elegant electronics; the Beogram 4000 record player of 1972 is an example. Danish manufacturers such as Fritz Hansen, Carl Hansen & Søn and Louis Poulsen have continued to make the classics of the twentieth century.

Since the 2000s new companies such as Hay and Muuto have sold Danish design to a broad public, often with international designers. Designmuseum Danmark presents the country's history.
