Stile Liberty

Italian Art Nouveau was named after a London department store.

In Italy Art Nouveau was called Stile Liberty after Liberty & Co. The exhibition in Turin in 1902 showed modern decorative art from all over Europe, and Carlo Bugatti showed furniture with parchment, copper and oriental forms.

Galileo Chini made ceramics and decorations, and Camillo Olivetti founded a typewriter factory in Ivrea in 1908.
