A round salon in silver and blue where Rococo ornament climbs over mirrors and walls.

The hunting lodge in the Nymphenburg park in Munich is counted among the finest Rococo rooms. It was built for the Electress Maria Amalia.

Materials: Stucco, silvering, mirrors, painting

Manufacture: The stucco was modelled directly on the wall and silvered against a pale blue ground.

The ornament growing freely across the boundary between wall and ceiling.

Silver on blue instead of the more usual gold on white.
