American Optical Original Pilot
The pilot sunglasses made for the United States Air Force.
American Optical was one of the large American optical companies and supplied the military with glasses for many years. The Original Pilot was made for Air Force flyers and worn by pilots in the Vietnam War.
The model remains on sale as civilian sunglasses in the same shape and is related to the Ray-Ban Aviator.

Manufacture: Made by American Optical in Southbridge, Massachusetts, from around 1958.
