The Rolls-Royce of motorcycles – hand-built in Nottingham and guaranteed to do 100 miles an hour.

George Brough built his motorcycles from the best parts he could buy and assembled them with great care. The SS100 appeared in 1924 and was sold with a certificate that this very machine had been ridden at over 100 miles an hour.

A magazine called the make the Rolls-Royce of motorcycles, and Brough was allowed to use the phrase in his advertising. Among the owners was T. E. Lawrence, Lawrence of Arabia, who had seven Brough Superiors.
