Crescent women’s bicycle

The Swedish everyday bicycle with a low frame, chain guard and carrier – for getting to work and the shops.

In the mid-20th century the bicycle was the most important vehicle for many Swedes, especially women and young people. The low-framed women’s bicycle made it possible to ride in a skirt, and the chain case protected clothing.

Crescent was one of the major Swedish bicycle brands, and its bicycles were sold in large numbers through cycle dealers all over the country.
