Ducati 750 SS

Fabio Taglioni’s sports bike with an L-twin and desmodromic valves – built after the victory at Imola.
Fabio Taglioni designed Ducati’s L-twin, in which the front cylinder points forwards and the rear one stands upright, and desmodromic valves that are closed mechanically instead of by springs.
When Paul Smart won the race at Imola in 1972 on a Ducati, the factory built a road version. The 750 SS was made in small numbers and is one of the most sought-after Italian motorcycles.
