The racing car for the road, built in only 36 examples.

GTO stands for Gran Turismo Omologato: the car was built to be approved for racing as a grand tourer. The engineer Giotto Bizzarrini developed the shape in a wind tunnel, and Scaglietti built the bodies.

The car won its class in major races from 1962 to 1964. Today it is among the most expensive cars ever sold.

Materials: Tubular steel frame, aluminium body; V12 engine

Manufacture: Built in Maranello from 1962 to 1964; the bodies were made by hand by Scaglietti in Modena.
