iPod

Apple’s music player of 2001 with a scroll wheel – a thousand songs in your pocket.
The first iPod was launched in October 2001 with a small hard disk and a mechanical scroll wheel. It made it easy to carry a whole record collection.
Together with the iTunes music store it changed how music was sold. The white earphones became a recognisable sign, and the form has been compared with Dieter Rams’s radios.
