A Swedish bicycle made entirely of plastic, meant to be cheap to produce but a failure.

The Itera went on sale in 1982, but it was flexible and hard to repair. About 30,000 were made before the company closed, and it is now a collector’s item.

Materials: Glass-reinforced plastic

Manufacture: Made in Vilhelmina.

The frame and wheels in injection-moulded plastic.

The thick, rounded frame.
