Jumeau bébé

The French doll with a porcelain head and glass eyes that looked like a small child.
Émile Jumeau took over his father’s production in Paris and made dolls that looked like children, not adult women, so-called bébés. They had heads of bisque porcelain and glass eyes.
Jumeau’s dolls were expensive and sought after in Europe and America. The older examples are collectors’ items today.
