Copper coffee pot

The Swedish coffee pot with a narrow neck and a spout that was put straight on the stove.

Coffee began to be drunk in Sweden in the 18th century, and coppersmiths made coffee pots that could be boiled straight on the stove. The pot often had a wooden handle so that it could be lifted.

Copper pots often hung in the kitchen as ornaments and as status objects. They have been collected by museums across the country.
