Leica M3

The rangefinder camera that set the standard for 35 mm cameras, with a bayonet mount.
The M3 was shown at Photokina in 1954. The viewfinder and rangefinder were combined in one window, and the lenses were fitted with a bayonet instead of a screw thread.
Photographers such as Henri Cartier-Bresson used the M3, and the M series has kept the same basic shape ever since.
Materials: Metal body, glass optics
Manufacture: Made in Wetzlar from 1954 to 1966.
