Linjespel
Astrid Sampe’s fabric made of nothing but lines – drawn with a ruler and shown as modern art.
Astrid Sampe ran the Textile Chamber at the NK department store from 1937 and commissioned both her own designers and artists. Linjespel from the mid-1950s shows her interest in clean, graphic patterns.
The Textile Chamber made Swedish textiles known internationally. The fabric is protected by copyright, so only a drawing is shown.
