The stereo valve power amplifier with blue meters that is still made today.

The MC275 gave 75 watts per channel with valves and was built with McIntosh’s own output transformers, which gave low distortion. The amplifier got its look from the shiny chrome chassis and the glass panel.

The amplifier has been made in several versions over more than sixty years and counts as one of the classics of hi-fi history.

Materials: Chromed steel chassis, valves, glass panel with blue lighting

Manufacture: Made by McIntosh Laboratory in Binghamton, New York, since 1961.
