Scent bottle from Meissen

The figure-shaped porcelain bottle for scents, with gold mounts.
Meissen made scent bottles in hard-paste porcelain in the form of figures, fruits and animals. They were luxury objects carried by noble ladies and exchanged as gifts.
The bottles show how the porcelain manufactories used their technique for small, playful objects, so-called curiosities of the Rococo.
Materials: Hard-paste porcelain, enamel painting, gold mounts
Manufacture: Made at the Meissen porcelain manufactory and painted by hand.
