A small dinghy that could be built at home from plywood stitched together with copper wire.

The Daily Mirror newspaper sponsored the boat, and the television handyman Barry Bucknell showed how to build it. More than seventy thousand have been built.

Materials: Plywood, copper wire, fibreglass tape; sloop-rigged dinghy

Manufacture: Built by amateurs from plans and kits.
