Oakley O Frame

The motocross goggles with a grippy strap that became Oakley’s first product.

Jim Jannard started Oakley in 1975 and first sold a rubber grip for motorcycles. The same year came the O Frame, a pair of motocross goggles in which the wide strap held even in dust and mud.

The goggles gave the company a name among motocross riders and paved the way for sunglasses and sports eyewear. The brand was bought by Luxottica in 2007.
