A small, light single-lens reflex that made other makers shrink their cameras.

Maitani removed everything unnecessary and moved the shutter-speed control to the lens mount. The OM-1 founded a whole system of small cameras and lenses.

Materials: Metal body, glass optics

Manufacture: Made in Japan.

The compact body with a low prism.

The shutter-speed ring around the lens mount.
