Björn Weckström designed jewellery for Lapponia from the 1960s, inspired by space, ice and lava. Planetoid Valleys dates from 1969, the year of the Moon landing.
In the final scene of Star Wars in 1977, Carrie Fisher as Princess Leia wears one of his necklaces. The piece is protected by copyright, so only a drawing is shown.
