Revox A77

The Swiss reel-to-reel tape recorder that gave homes the quality of a studio machine.
Willi Studer made tape recorders for radio and recording studios under the name Studer and for the home under the name Revox. The A77 was fully transistorised and built with the same care as the studio machines.
The recorder was used by musicians, radio stations and enthusiasts, and became a symbol of hi-fi in the 1970s. The clear layout of reels, meters and buttons is pure function.
Materials: Aluminium, steel, transistor electronics
Manufacture: Made by Studer-Revox in Regensdorf from 1967 to 1977, about 80,000 units.
