The soft travel bag sized to fit inside a cabin trunk.

Georges Vuitton, son of the founder, introduced a soft travel bag in 1901 that could lie inside a cabin trunk on steamships. It was meant for keeping dirty laundry during the voyage.

The bag was made in the famous monogram canvas. It shows how the trunk-maker adapted to new travel by steamship and later by air.
