Syon House, Robert Adam
ChristianSW, CC0

Robert Adam’s Neoclassical interior in an older house on the Thames.

Robert Adam created a series of rooms at Syon House after models from ancient Rome, using marble, stucco and gilding. Each room has its own colour scheme and decoration.

The interior became one of the most influential for the Neoclassical style in England. It shows how Adam designed everything from floor to ceiling.
