Teenage Engineering OP-1
The portable aluminium synthesizer and sampler with colourful keys.
The OP-1 gathers a synth, a sampler, a sequencer and a tape recorder in a unit the size of a keyboard. The controls are colour-coded and the screen shows graphics that explain what one is doing.
The instrument became popular among musicians and design enthusiasts and shows Swedish electronic design of the 2010s.
Materials: Aluminium case, plastic keys, colour display
Manufacture: Made by Teenage Engineering in Stockholm from 2011.
