Victor Victrola

The gramophone with the horn hidden in a furniture cabinet, which brought music into the living room.
Earlier gramophones had a large horn sticking out. The Victrola hid the horn in a cabinet that could stand as a piece of furniture in the home.
The name Victrola came to mean gramophone in many countries. The cabinet shows how the technology wanted to become part of interior decoration.
